That Time Of The Year Again

Have you noticed it is Black Friday? Well, here at RC2014 Towers, we know you all love a discount, so what better way than to join in the Black Friday / Cyber Monday shenanigans with a 17% discount across all RC2014 kits. It is an automatic site sale, so the discount will be automatically applied without having to mess about with a discount code.

Maker Faire Wellington

Wellington hosted New Zealands first ever Maker Faire at the start of November, and what an awesome Maker Faire it was! It was great to see what Antipodean hackers and makers had to show off.

The RC2014 stall caused a lot of interest with the locals, and lots of faire visitors recounted their early days programming their Zid Ix Eighty One ;-)

The RC2014 stall must have impressed the judges too as I was awarded my first ever "Maker of Merit" ribbon. I'm really thrilled about that!

NZ Tech Podcast

If you enjoy tech, and want to hear what the latest innovations happening in New Zealand are, then the NZ Tech Podcast is for you. In particular, episode 413 which has a special guest talking about RC2014!

Syntax Demo Party

The Syntax Demo Party in Melbourne was a real trip back to the demo scene of the 90s with people getting Commodore C64, Atari 800, Vectrex  and other hardware performing amazing visual and audio tricks that seems impossible on that hardware.
The RC2014 made a much less impressive ASCII Art animation of a monkey ! Totally awesome weekend and very inspiring.

New Zealand and Australia Meetups

The last few weeks has seen RC2014 Meetups held in Wellington, Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney, along with visits to hackerspaces in Melbourne and Brisbane. These events have been really fantastic, and a unique opportunity to get to know you all better.

A big thank you goes out to all those that helped organise the venues, and to everybody that came along.

Shipping Schedule

Firstly, an apology for having the RC2014 Tindie store in vacation mode for most of this month. I'd arranged for someone to take care of the shipping whilst I was away, but was let down just a few days before I went away.

The store is back open again and accepting orders. However, please be aware that I am currently writing this from my Sydney hotel room, so shipping won't recommence until after I get back to the UK on Monday 26th November.

There is already a bit of a backlog building up, and the Black Friday sale is only going to add to that. So please be patient with me.as I try to catch up as quickly as the jet lag allows.
