That Time Of The Year Again

It always seems to be "That" time of the year.  In the last newsletter, "That" time was Black Friday (Doesn't that seem like a long time ago now?), and, wow, did you keep us busy! Over 21kg of RC2014 kits was shipped in just 4 days!
As today is Valentines Day, we want to get all romantic.  And what says I Love You more than a Z80 based computer kit!  For the rest of this week, if you buy an RC2014 Mini, RC2014 Pro or RC2014 Zed kits, you can get a 2nd one for 50% off! So, that's one for you, and one for your retro loving partner! No need for a discount code, just put 2 in your shopping basket and the price will be adjusted.
Ever wondered what happens at an RC2014 Meetup? Well, Mick from MickMake YouTube channel bought his camera along to the Sydney meetup.

Hackaday Circuit Sculpture Contest

When Matseng came to assemble his RC2014 kit, he realised that ditching the PCBs would allow him to enter the Circuit Sculpture Contest at Hackaday - which he won! See more details here
Congratulations Mats, it's beautiful!
Fans of the EEVblog channel on YouTube will already know what Dave Jones got for Xmas. But for those that haven't seen the video, click the image here

2019 Events Calendar

Events like Maker Faire and dedicated RC2014 Meetups are great for engaging with RC2014 users as well as spreading the word.

So far, however, the calendar for 2019 is looking pretty quiet.  If there are any events that you are looking forward to this year, please get in touch, and maybe I'll see you there!
There's been a lot of chatter on the RC2014 Google Group recently about the z80ctrl board from J.B.Langston. This video gives you an overview of what this great board does, and tells you everything you need to know to get started.

Extra Savings

For those of you that are spending Valentines Day without a Significant Other to share an RC2014 with, there's no need to feel left out.  My gift to you is the discount code NEWSLETTER18 which can be used until the end of February for 9% off of any RC2014 product on Tindie
