You are receiving this email because you signed up to the RC2014 Community Newsletter or have bought an RC2014 homebrew computer, and I think you'll enjoy reading this - However, I fully understand that nobody likes spam.  That is why here at RC2014 Towers we are fully GDPR compliant and you can change your preferences at any time with the link at the bottom

What a difference a couple of months makes!

Remember the last RC2014 Newsletter, where I listed off the events I'd be attending in the UK, United States and Germany. Well, doesn't the world seem like a very different place now! No surprise that these events have been postponed.  VCF East has been rescheduled for October, EMF Camp has been cancelled, and RETROthek is postponed until early 2021, but keep an eye on the website for updates.

Also, please be aware that shipping times are quite unpredictable right now. Apart from the fact that I am limiting myself to 2 visits a week to the Post Office, there can be considerable delays in receiving your kits. Tracked shipping options are available for most countries, so it's recommended that you select that at checkout if you're worried about how long order might take.

New RC2014 IDE Module

A simplified version of Ed Brindleys 8255 IDE Module has been released.  This DIP-40 8255 board offers the same compatibility with RomWBW, and support of both 3.5" or 2.5" IDE hard drives, but without the need to set switches or jumpers. And at a lower price too! Pick yours up on Tindie now.

If you want to use a hard drive for CP/M on a regular 64k RC2014, Phillip Stevens has created a CP/M-IDE ROM which works great with this module too!

After Dark Fund Raiser

If you missed out on your chance to get hold of one of the 25 Limited Edition RC2014 Mini After Dark kits, the Centre For Computing History are auctioning number 26/25 to raise funds during their enforced shutdown. Not only is this an excellent kit, but it's raising money for an amazing place which needs your support right now. Bid here

Even if you don't win the auction, please consider donating to their Just Giving fund, becoming a Patron, or buying a membership subscription.
Dave McNaughton, the guy behind the IMSAI 8080 Replica, has been teasing us with his VT132 Module. This combines a VT100 terminal, VGA output, PS/2 input and WiFi modem in a neat ESP32 based module. Can't wait for this to be released
