Brexit and EU import duty

As December 31 gets closer, it is looking less likely that the UK and EU will agree a trade deal. This means that there will probably be import duty and tax applied to RC2014 kits going in to Europe. Currently most kits seem to be delivered within 2 weeks, so if you're quick, you should be able to beat the deadline.
Although I try to keep politics out of RC2014 discussions, I just want to take this opportunity to apologise to all my EU friends for what is going on right now. I didn't vote for Brexit, and not only am I losing my European freedoms, my EU friends are penalised with tariffs too. Sorry.
Inspired by the FORTH links in last months newsletter, Sheila Dixon decided to learn FORTH. A few days later came this random dice roll animation using the Quazar OLED display. Click abover for the video, or see the blog post here

Captain Zilog!

The HexBin compliant RC2014 stickers have been a big hit since they started to go out with RC2014 orders earlier this year. There are now 6 in the range, with more in the pipeline for next year.
The latest run of limited edition stickers includes an appearance by everybody's favourite comic book superhero Captain Zilog! You can catch up on the latest antics of this masked cursader over at the Zilog website here

Black Friday Review

Once again so many of you went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that I did not have a quiet weekend of sitting around doing nothing! Thank you all! :-)

Christmas Shutdown

This year I will be closing the RC2014 store from December 23 until January 2, with shipping starting Jaunary 4. Apologies for any inconvenience. I wish everybody all the best for the holiday season and hope you have a fantastic 2021

Z80 Eurocard Clearance

I currently have a selection of old Z80 based Eurocard expansion boards listed on Tindies Flea Market. Grab yourself a bargain!
Dean Netherton wanted to see how close he could get to MSX compatibility on his RC2014. With the addition of a RP5C01 module, PPI module and V9958 module, and some drivers, and it's looking great! See Hackaday.io for full details.
