Christmas Shipping

This year orders placed at z80kits.com up to December 23 will be shipped before Christmas. The store will remain open over the festive period, but please note that nothing further will be shipped until January 4

Green packaging is blue and white

As many of you have noticed, most of the plastic packaging that's been used for RC2014 kits is being replaced by paper or card wherever possible. Not only is the new packaging greener, but we think it looks beautiful too.
Protection of the components seems to be really good from initial tests. If you've received any kits packaged like this, or have any suggestins on making things even better, we would love to hear your feedback

New Product Launch - 8x8 LED Matrix Display

As teased in the last newsletter, an 8x8 LED Matrix Display Module has been launched. This fun kit, designed by Shiela Dixon, is great for simple graphics, scrolling messages, or tiny arcade games

This is available exclusively at z80kits.com

EU Minium Order Value From January

DHL Shipping for orders to the European Union have been working out really well - however, the price DHL charge compared to what is passed on to the customers mean that small value orders barely break even.
Unfortunately, DHL are putting the prices up in the new year. So it is with great regret that the only way this is going to work out is with a minimum order value of £40 excluding VAT and shipping from 1 January. This was not an easy decision, but we hope you understand
Live vintage computer meetups have been pretty rare in the last couple of years, but this one in New Zealand looked great, in particular all the nice things Simon Swain said about his RC2014 setup at 44:20. Thanks Simon!

New Stickers

The latest batch of stickers arrived today, including the long awaited "4" sticker to complete the RC2014 set.

All kits shipped out include a sticker or two - while stocks last!

Digital Bubble LED Clock

It's always nice to see combination projects, and this digital clock from Lumír Vaněk is just lovely. It uses the DS1302 RTC and the (sadly sold out) Bubble LED Module. The assembly code is all there too, which should be easy enough to reuse on other projects
