Ukrainian Fundraiser II

Last month saw a donation of £1940 ($2550 USD) paid to the Humanitarian Assistance Fund through the National Bank of Ukraine.  This is thanks to the 40 of you that bought the limited edition RC2014 Classic II kits and RC2014 Zed kits in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

Demand for these kits was really high and a lot of you asked if there will be another batch of them.  Well, there are just enough parts left over for a very short run of 7 kits (1 RC2014 Classic II and 6 RC2014 Zed).  This will raise another £410 for the Humanitarian Assistance Fund.

These will go on sale at 18:00 GMT tomorrow (13 April 2022)  at z80kits.com on a first come, first served basis.
It has been great seeing the Ukrainian fundraiser kits popping up all over social media. Probably my favourite one is this one that David Adkins has added a YM2149 Sound Card Module and taught it to play the Ukrainian National Anthem.
Randall Crooks assembly livestream is well worth a watch too

EMF Camp

After cancellation in 2020 for obvious reasons, we are super excited to see the return of EMF Camp this June.  This has always been a fantastic even for the RC2014 community, and this year is shaping up to be another great one.  There will be an RC2014 workshop, as well as a stall at the Night Market in Null Sector, but I'll be around all weekend. So come along and say Hi!

MSX USB Module

Dino has upped the game once again with a USB Flash / Floppy Cassette Module for his RC2014 based MSX kits.

Read all about it over at Hackaday.io
If you enjoyed Custom PC Hardware's series on the RC2014 Mini, then you'll be glad to see there is now a new series on the RC2014 Classic II. Looking good so far, and I can't wait to see how it ends up

Liverpool MakeFest

Looking a bit further ahead, Liverpool MakeFest is on at the start of July, and once again, RC2014 will have a stall there.

This is a free event, and always buzzing with great creations and interesting displays.  Admission is free, so come along and say Hi!

And Finally...

The new PCBs arrived today for the RC2014 Micro+, the RC2014 Classic II+ and the RC2014 Pro+. Initial tests look good, so expect to see more of these in next months newsletter
