New Product - Micro SD Card Module

Last month saw the launch of the Micro SD Card Module by Extreme Kits. This is a drop in replacement for the compact flash module supplied with the RC2014 Classic II CP/M kit, the RC2014 Pro or the RC2014 Zed models, and requires no software changes on the RC2014 machine. This clever device uses a Pi Pico to emulate a compact flash card, and serves up the CF image file from the SD
card to either regular CP/M 2.2 RC2014 or a RomWBW based RC2014.

There is even a Fast File Serial (FFS!) application that transfers files to or from a host computer super quickly. Read more about it on GitHub
Not one but two new products this month! The Module Riser... rises modules! If you want to raise your modules like stadium seating, or get easy access for debugging, or just want your modules taller, this is the UPgrade you need!

Amstrad CPC BASIC

Not wanting to choose between his RC2014 and Amstrad CPC, Mike Sutton, aka Bread80, ported BASIC to the RC2014. Available on GitHub now.

Retro Computer Festival

Earlier this month was the Retro Computer Festival, hosted by the Centre For Computing History. This is always a great event, but this year was one of the best! Thanks to all the other exhibitors and visitors for making it so wonderful.

CP/M IDE

If you like your file systems FAT then Feilipu has something for you. CP/M IDE has finally been released! This works on a standard RC2014 Pro, or other models with an IDE Hard Drive Module (more stock due next month)

And Finally...

You thought you'd get all the way through this newsletter without the mention of Black Friday? Of course not!

This year there will be a 14% discount on all Base KitsCore ModulesExpansion Modules and Backplanes from Friday November 25th through to Monday 28th if you use the discount code BFCM2022 at checkout.

Please note that shipping times tend to extend a little bit at this time of year, and this year it coincides with industrial action by Royal Mail, so please be patient.

Please also note that after Cyber Monday z80kits will be closed for a week to get some reorganisation done, and adjust a few prices in line with increasing component costs.
