Dual Paddle Analogue Module

Digital computing is great, but sometimes there's more to life than ones and zeros. That's where the Dual Paddle Analogue Module from Peacock Media comes in. With two analog/analogue inputs it uses a couple of TLC0820 ADC to convert a voltage from 0v to 5v in to an 8 bit number
This easy to build module can be programmed from BASIC or Z80 assembly and can be used with many things such as paddle controllers, analog joystick, or sampling analog signals up to audio frequency.

Blue Box Front Panel Kit

Finally the Blue Box Front Panel kit was launched last month. This kit is designed to transform the ubiquitous Blue Box enclosure in to a functional enhancement for your RomWBW based RC2014.  It can be supplied with the Front Panel I/O kit and 4x20 LCD driver, or on its own if you already have these kits.

Rear Panel Kit - Soon

If you think we only care about how pretty your front is, don't worry, we have your rear end covered too!
Designing a rear panel to allow for every RC2014 configuration is almost impossible, but we're very happy with this modular solution.

Last month Stuart Patterson finished his series on building a Classic II, and wanted to know more about the RC2014 history, the day to day operations at RC2014 Towers and what the future may hold. In this video you can find out too.

eZ80 Coming to RC2014?

Although there is enough Z80 stock to keep RC2014 kits  going for many years, it is great that Dean Netherton has already found a solution when stock runs out. His eZ80 Module might be tricky to solder, but could bring other  benefits. See his GitHub repo for more information.

Etch-a-sketchy

Last month the RC2014 was on display at Liverpool Makefest. This family friendly event is always great and this year I wanted a new exhibit to help launch the Dual Paddle Analogue Module. Using a couple of Pot Noodle pots, an RC2014 Mini II and a NeoPixel Matrix Module I made Etch-a-sketch. Read about how I did it here

OSHCamp

Just a quick reminder that there are still a few tickets left for OSHCamp at the end of August. Not only is Spencer Owen giving a talk on Saturday, but also running a workshop on the Sunday where you get to take away a very unique kit.
