Happy Easter

As we all know, this Sunday is International Chocolate Egg Eating Day, or something like that.  So what better way to celebrate than with a nice little Easter Egg Hunt!

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny will visit my Tindie store and leave a load of Easter Eggs hidden in different places.  Find all the eggs, put the letters together and you can get yourself a 17% discount!  Don't forget to look at the photos, and check the BOMs too ;-)

But you've got to be quick, as the Easter Bunny will be clearing away his eggs on Monday night.

It's show time!

The show season started 2 weeks ago with the UK Maker Faire in Newcastle.  Lots of fun was had by all, and there was a lot of interest in the RC2014 I was showing off.

This coming Sunday (16th April) I'll be doing the same again at Edinburgh Mini Maker Faire, and then again when I'm off to Munich for VCF Europe 29th-30th April.  There is also Liverpool Makefest on 24th June and if all goes to plan, I'm off to show the RC2014 at the Sydney Mini Maker Faire too.  So, if you're going to any of those events, swing my the stand and say hi!

Compact Flash Module

As many of you picked up on from the teaser picture last month, there is now a Compact Flash Module added to the RC2014 lineup!

This works with the Pageable ROM and 64K RAM Modules to allow the CP/M operating system to run on the RC2014!

Although most of the components are through-hole items, and easy to solder, the CF socket itself can be fiddly if you're not used to surface mount soldering.  Therefore this module can also be purchased with the CF socket pre-mounted - although this may extend delivery times a little bit.

The first batch of boards sold out really quickly, but new boards are due back in on Tuesday - however, to allow you to take advantage of the Easter Egg discount, I will be adding them back to the Tindie inventory on Sunday.

Running CP/M On Your RC2014

With the release of the Pageable ROM Module and Compact Flash Module, your RC2014 can now run the CP/M operating system.

To help you get started, I've put together this simple guide

Backplane Pro

A lot of people now have an RC2014 that's pushing the boundaries of the 8 slot backplane, or are neededing to connect more modules that use the Enhanced Bus pins.  So, if you fall in to either of those categories, then the Backplane Pro is for you!  Now available on Tindie!
