Limited Edition RC2014 Mini II Picasso

After months of work, the limited edition RC2014 Mini II Picasso can finally be unveiled. Based on the RC2014 Mini II this work of art has thrown the rule book out of the window and dared to do things that others wouldn't even dream of.
Straight lines and right angles are only for squares. The Mini II Picasso doesn't do things conventionally. It is, however, still 100% compatible with all Mini II expansions, including the Mini II CP/M Upgrade Kit.
Available in 4 PCB colours, every one of the 100 kits available will have a unique combination of PCB, header socket, LED and barrel jack colours. The Perspex enclosure is included and even has a keyhole in the back for hanging in an art gallery.
These kits use through hole parts. Literally. Including a chip that is fitted through a hole, and spiral resistor staircases that even share a hole! These kits have been likened to Tommy Coopers bad magic tricks or Les Dawsons terrible piano playing.

Retrofest 2025 - Swindon May 31st June 1st

Short Circuit Events, the team behind the RCF in Cambridge, are launching the inaugural Retrofest in Swindon at the end of May. This promises to be a fanstatic event, and RC2014 will be well represented there. Grab a ticket early to avoid disappointment.

New Stickers!

Of course a new limited edition RC2014 cannot be launched without some new matching custom hex stickers! Every kit will come with a sticker, and one will be included with other orders while stocks last.
There are now 23 stickers in the range, with many being one-off print runs to celebrate an event or function. Which one(s) have you got on your laptop? What would you like to see on future RC2014 hex stickers?
Hey, did we mention that there's a new RC2014 Mini II Picasso kit available? You might like this video showing how easy it is to assemble!

RC2014 Towers Progress

Work has started up again this year on the new office for RC2014 with the carpet going down this weekend. Moving in is scheduled for first week in June, just after Retrofest, so this is advance notice that z80kits will be closed for a week then.
