Black Friday - Cyber Monday 2017

So, apparently Black Friday and Cyber Monday is a thing.  Who knew!  Well, never let it be said that RC2014 computers don't want be involved in a thing.  So, from Black Friday, through Chicken Saturday, Sleepy Sunday and until Cyber Monday, you can have 20% discount on anything in the RC2014 store on Tindie.  That's how this thing works, right?  Ok, cool, glad we're all agreed on that!

Maker Fiare Rome

This time next week the RC2014 will be heading off to Rome for the European Maker Faire on 1st - 3rd December.  If you are going to be in the area, make sure you come and say Hi!  I've got a big bunch of Tindie stickers to give out whilst I'm there too :-)

FORTH Part Of The Newsletter

If you're the kind of person that likes Reverse Polish Notation on your calculator, you'll be please to know that RC2014 user Rachel has ported FORTH to the RC2014.  Her code is available on GitHub and can either be burned to a ROM, or loaded in to RAM
Once again Derby Mini Maker Faire put on a superb event on 28th October.  The RC2014 stand proved popular, and it was great to see so many RC2014 owners whilst I was there too!  Sorry I didn't get more time to chat with you all.
Due to building refurbishments, it will be the last Derby Mini Maker Faire held there for a few years.

Monitor ROM

If FORTH isn't close enough to the machine code for you, then user Steve has written a Machine Code Monitor for the RC2014.  It includes an assembler and disassembler, and everything else you'd expect. Full details on his website.

RC2014 Goes Wireless

Those that followed along with the Retro Challenge this year would have seen me live streaming Zork from the RC2014 to the internet via an ESP8266 Wifi Module.  I may not have done great with Zork, but the prototype Wifi Module worked well.
This newsletter should have been the launch of a Wifi Module based on the prototype. However, due to a schoolboy error, the PCBs will have to be redesigned, but should be available before Christmas.

The schoolboy has been fed to a Grue
Also, as is traditional in the newsletter, here's a teaser photo without any context, any details, any price, any links, or any release date.
