RC2014 Micro
If you were paying attention to the OSHCamp articles, you'll have noticed that the RC2014 Micro
is the latest RC2014 to hit the streets. This cut-down RC2014
Mini features 32k RAM, Microsoft BASIC and SCM on ROM, 7.3728 Mhz with
serial I/O.
Instead of going on general sale, this will only be available at special
events, workshops, or prize giveaways. If you are interested in
running a workshop, please contact me. If you'd like one free of charge, see below!

OSHCamp 2019
Two weeks ago OSHCamp took
place in the idyllic setting of Hebden Brige. Along with a bunch
of fascinating talks on Saturday, attendees also had the pleasure of
yours truly waffling on about the history of Z80 for half an hour.
All 80 attendees went away with a R2014 Micro kit too, many of which were assembled at the workshops on Sunday.

Two Days To The Race
For those of you that enjoy your Infocom style text adventures, you'll be pleased to know that Two Days To The Race
by Davide Bucci, has been ported to the RC2014. This interactive
fiction game, set in Turin at the beginning of the 20th century was
released earlier this year for such machines as the ZX Spectrum,
Commodore 64 and Olivetti M20 now has it's own RC2014 release.

Retro Computer Festival 2019
Once again, the Center For Computing History
put on a fantastic Retro Computer Festival last weekend. In addition to
the regular collection of superb old machines, there were some amazing
obscure and rare machines from private collections on display, as well
as some great modern retro computers and accessories. Of course, the
RC2014 was well represented! It was also a fantastic opportunity to meet
up with a bunch of RC2014 owners and other enthusiasts. Can't wait for
next year now!

Win a RC2014 Micro
I have got three R2014 Micro kits to give away. One via Twitter, one via Instagram and one via Tindie reviews;
- Twitter: Simply complete the phrase "I love my #Z80 #RC2014 #Retrocomputer because..." and tweet a photo of your RC2014. If you don't yet have an RC2014, complete the phrase "I would love a #Z80 #RC2014 #Retrocomputer because..." and tweet a photo of something else cool!
- Instagram: Post a photo of your RC2014 to your feed (Or a photo of something else cool if you don't yet have one) and tag it with "I love my #Z80 #RC2014 #Retrocomputer because..." (or I would love a #Z80 #RC2014 #Retrocomputer because...")
- Tindie
reviews: If you have bought any RC2014 kit within the last 3 months and
haven't left a review, do so now. It isn't easy to identify who left
which review, so please add the last 3 digits of your Tindie order
number so I can contact you if you win.
Twitter and Instagram winners will be selected by random by an online
random tweet/post picker on Friday 20th September. The Tindie review
will be judged by me on 31st September, based on how much it makes me
smile, or chuckle (But I'm not angling for a kiss-ass 5 star perfect
review!). Winners will be notified within 24 hours, judges decision is
final, no cash rewards, etc etc.
